Where is Souper made?

Souper is made in San Francisco, California.

Is Souper Organic?

Yes. Souper sources vegetables and products from several different high-quality farms of Central Coast, California.

Is Souper Gluten-Free?

Yes.

Where can I find a list of ingredients and nutritional information?

Nutrition info for each soup is available on its product info page.

How much sodium are in your soups?

Our sodium levels vary slightly, 350 milligrams per 8oz serving. We season to taste and only use mineral-rich sea salt.

Does the soup arrive frozen?

The soup is shipped frozen. Depending on where you’re located and the shipment method, the soup will arrive cold to partially frozen.

How do I thaw it?

The easiest way to thaw frozen soup is to simply put it in the refrigerator and let it slowly defrost overnight. For faster results, run the container under cold water to loosen, then empty
into a pot and cover. Bring entire contents to a simmer. You can always store any leftover soup in the fridge. Just let it cool before reusing the container.

How long will the soup keep in the fridge?

Our soup has a shelf life of 7-10 days in refrigeration and can be refrozen as needed for up to one year.

Can I refreeze it later?

Absolutely.

How do I reheat it?

From the fridge, our soups can go straight into the pot.

How do you keep it cool during shipping?

Each shipment is kept cold with dry ice and eco-friendly insulation made from US grown, non-GMO cornstarch, an annually renewable resource. The insulation is compostable,
dissolvable in water, and also burns cleanly.

Why do you ship it frozen?

We use no artificial preservatives, that’s why we ship frozen. Depending on where you’re located and the shipment method, the soup will arrive cold to partially frozen.

Sustainability & Recycling

How does Souper give back?

When a buyer rounds up their purchase to donate we ask if they’d like to be an official ‘Souper Human’, the term coined for membership. The
Souper Human is recognized for their impact on our Get Souper newsletter, where people can also find the link to our Discord channel.
The three activations include: Donations Incentives program -- round up your purchase to benefit Souper Humans in need; Soupons for Souper
Humans that actively volunteer at souper sponsored events, and partner organizations; and a Give Back program, where people who return ten of
our recyclable Souper bottles can get a free bottle, not only encouraging consistent product purchases but ensuring our packaging is being properly
recycled.

Is Souper packaging recyclable?

Yes. We package our frozen soups in FDA-approved, BPA-free containers. Our containers are fully recyclable and are safe for storing soup hot or
frozen.
We ship our packages in fully recyclable corrugated cardboard.
Our insulating foam is made from US grown, non-GMO Cornstarch, an annually renewable resource. It produces 80% less greenhouse gases than
typical petroleum-based foams. Remove the recyclable plastic cover and dispose of the foam in one of these ways:
Compost this foam in any residential or commercial compost facility. It will biodegrade in 60 days or less in a moist soil environment.
Dissolve in water. Run under tap water in a sink and watch it melt safely down the drain. Alternatively, dissolve in a bucket of water, let sit
overnight…then, use it to feed your plants!
Burn. This foam will burn cleanly and safely in fireplaces and fire pits – it works great to start your barbecue!
